Advanced Flexo are one of four strategic partners who form the consortium

In October 2006, The Comtecs Company based in Osaka, Japan, acquired the rights to the Luescher direct engraving technology. The driver for their action was to protect the supply of the machines for the growing flexo pre-press market they had successfully started in 2001 with the ZEDMini product.

Comtecs are Japan’s premier distributor of digital pre-press equipment and provide sales and technical support within Japan.

Comtec’s vision was not only to supply the Japanese market but also continue to develop the machine and export worldwide. They turned to their trading partner of over 40 years – Itochu Sanki. Itochu Sanki are a specialised high technology subsidiary of Itochu Shoji – one of the 5 major Japanese trading companies. Their headquarters is in Tokyo and the digital pre-press division is based in Osaka

Itochu Sanki are the commercial leaders in the partnership and are responsible for the Adflex Direct product worldwide. Advanced Flexo provide global sales & marketing and technical support management for Itochu Sanki for the Adflex Direct product range.

The product is manufactured by JPC Ltd, a specialist manufacturing company who specialise in the manufacture of high technology machinery for the print, automotive and semi-conductor industry. They focus only on the manufacturing and bring manufacturing expertise and well established manufacturing techniques to the production of the Adflex Direct. JPC are based in Fukui City.
